Siraj Destroys Root & Stokes! Golden Duck & Boos Answered in Style | IND vs ENG 2nd Test
In the match between IND vs ENG 2 nd Test 2025 at Edgbaston, Mohammed Siraj took captain Ben Stokes (0) and Joe Root (22), during two consecutive deliveries, for the golden duck.
IND vs ENG 2nd Test: India national cricket team pace bowler Mohammed Siraj was in a class of his own with the ball on the third day of the second Test against English national cricket team at Edgbaston. The 29-year-old right-arm pacer took the scalp of veteran Joe Root (22) along with new captain Ben Stokes who scored the golden duck.
The wicket occurrence took place on the 22nd over of England in the first innings. On the third ball, Mohammed Siraj bowled a length delivery towards the leg side against Joe Root. The veteran batsman attempted flick towards fine leg and was edged.
There was no stupidity on the part of Rishabh Pant behind the stumps. Another peach delivery by the pacer, in the next delivery, sent the captain Ben Stokes (who was batting at the time) to the golden duck.

Day 3 Lunch! How exciting was the session
England have roared back after receiving and returning a two-fold blow of Siraj. Harry Brook and Jamie Smith went on the attack against India and very soon they stitched a 150 run partnership.
Jamie Smith, the more aggressor party, accomplished his century in only 80 balls in the process whilst Brook was undefeated in 91 runs. England end the morning day at first 249/5 on the 47 overs.
Mohammed Siraj dismissed Joe Root and Ben Stokes earlier in the day on successive balls. India still require a turn around of some of them in the bowling department. There is much still to play out on Day 3 at Edgbaston.
