Sidhu surrenders in Patiala court, will be sent to jail after medical

Navjot Singh Sidhu surrendered in Patiala court after the Supreme Court sentenced him to one year rigorous imprisonment in the 34-year-old road rage case. After surrendering in the court, the legal process took place. After this, he is being taken to Mata Kaushalya Hospital in a Punjab Police bus for medical treatment. After this he will be taken to Patiala Jail. There were also lines of concern on Navjot Singh Sidhu's face in the court.

Sidhu's medical is being done in the emergency ward of Kaushalya Hospital under tight security. Sidhu's close friends say that Sidhu has liver problems and he also has problems in his feet.

Navjot Singh Sidhu's media advisor Surinder Dalla said that Navjot Singh Sidhu has surrendered in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate. Sidhu does not want any VIP treatment in jail. Navjot Singh Sidhu's lawyers filed a petition in the Supreme Court and sought a few weeks' time to surrender. Sidhu's ill health was cited for this. It is said that this petition of Sidhu was opposed by the Punjab government.
