The Taj Western Gate Market Association has got interim relief from the Supreme Court in the matter of closing all business activities within 500 meters from the wall of the Taj Mahal. At present, shops will not be removed within 500 meters radius.
Hundreds of businessmen have got interim relief from this order of the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that on September 27, 2022, orders were issued to remove shops falling within 500 meters of the Taj Mahal. The court had asked the Agra Development Authority to comply with its direction. This demand was made in a petition. Against this order, the businessmen had filed an application in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had given an important order regarding the construction around the Taj Mahal in Agra. The Supreme Court had lifted the ban on all types of construction and industrial activities in the Taj Protected Area.
