Samantha Prabhu on father struggles: The Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu may have “begged” Raj & DK to find someone else for the role of Honey in their new spy action show Citadel: Honey Bunny.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was chosen for the role because her life was similar to that of her character.
In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Samantha Prabhu father relationship was discussed. During the interview, she said, “I think there are a lot of my real-life experiences in Honey. When I was narrated the role, it was almost freaky how much of my real life was in Honey. So for my performance, I was drawing a lot from my life and what my past experiences were, my childhood was. A lot of that has made it to my performance.”

It was Varun Dhawan who suggested her name for Honey. However, Samantha kept requesting the directors to choose someone else for the role because she was in her recovery period from myositis.
The actor took charge of her own spiritual and health journey. She even joined Sadhguru's Isha Foundation and started a health podcast called Take 20.
However, Samantha is now glad that she came back on a Raj & DK set as it was comfortable and cathartic in a different way. Samantha added, “It's very rare these days that you're doing only one thing. You're always multitasking. You're on your phone and talking. But when you're doing all these action bits and oners, you are forced to just be in the moment, which is a rarity.”
