Son Ibrahim Rushes Him to Hospital in Autorickshaw: Actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra residence on Thursday morning, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his elder son Ibrahim as he was bleeding heavily and the car was yet not ready to leave.

A video captured moments after the attack shows Mr Khan's wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan standing next to the auto-rickshaw and speaking to the house staff.

Ibrahim, 23, aided his bleeding father get onto the three-wheeler after the car was yet not ready to depart due to the unavailability of the driver at that time.

Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after doctors successfully removed a 2.5-inch piece of a knife lodged in his spine following a violent attack at his Bandra home.

Dr Nitin Dange, neurosurgeon at the Lilavati Hospital, said Khan had sustained a major injury to his"thoracic spine." "He sustained a major injury to his thoracic spine due to a knife lodged in his spine. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and also to repair the leaking There were two other deep wounds on his left hand and right side of the neck which were repaired by the plastic surgery team," he said.

"Khan is completely stable now. He is in recovery mode and is completely out of danger. We will shift him out of the ICU tomorrow morning and maybe plan a discharge in a day or two," he added.

Police have said that the probe suggests that the intruder entered Saif Ali Khan's house to commit robbery.

CCTV cameras at Mr Khan's home did not capture anyone entering the premises within two hours before the attack, meaning that whoever attacked the actor had entered the building earlier and had been waiting to strike.

Police are scanning CCTV footage to identify the attacker, who fled after stabbing the actor.
