Foreign Affairs expert Prof Harsh V Pant said that Israel and Russia have cordial relations. It is because of these relations that Israel has refused to give up its air defense system despite pressure from Western countries. However, Israel has continued to provide humanitarian facilities during the Ukraine war, he said.

Prof Pant said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is putting diplomatic pressure on Israel, but it is ineffective. He said the Jewish community is the first priority of Israeli foreign policy. A large number of Jewish communities live in Russia and Ukraine.
