Delhi recorded a decline of about 37 percent in Covid cases on Monday, which was 5,760 against 9,197 on Sunday, while 30 deaths were also reported. The number of Covid Containment Zones in the city has increased to 44,464.
In the last 24 hours, 2,55,874 new cases of corona have been reported in India and the daily positivity rate has come down to 15.52 percent. Earlier, more than 3 lakh cases of corona were reported for five consecutive days. A total of 614 new deaths were also recorded in the 24-hour period, taking the death toll to 4,90,462. Active cases increased to 22,36,842, which is 5.62 percent of the total positive cases in the country.
