Both the teams will stay here for 11 days. Some players will come here after the T20 series. Players of both the teams have made their special demands in food. They have to taste the Kanpuriya Khichdi. Apart from this, Kiwi players have demanded salad and nuts in breakfast.
Players included in the Test team of both the countries were welcomed with lemon juice and coconut water on their arrival in Kanpur. Balanced diet has been arranged for the players in the diet plan of BCCI. Team members are being served breakfast of salad, soup, idli, dosa and poha. A diet high in protein will be given with lentils and rice along with veg and non-veg. Players will be given 3 types of soup, salad, dry non-veg snacks. Veg and non-veg snacks will be provided for the players after gym and at Tea break.
The New Zealand team has made a special demand for salad and nuts for breakfast. Meat, chicken, fish, and khichdi will be served for lunch. Soup, plain biscuit, fruit cake, mixed nuts will be given during tea time. Dinner will be served with Khichdi and Pasta.
The employees who prepared and served the players' food were quarantined. He will stay in the hotel during the entire match. Apart from this, the Vayu restaurant on the 16th floor of the hotel has also been reserved for the players.
