Reduction in the number of people involved in the Republic Day parade
Due to the third wave of COVID Third Wave, the grand parade of Republic Day 2022 will not be on such a big scale this time. Like last year, the seating capacity and invitations for foreign guests will be cut.

Senior officials told that on January 18 that it is likely that 5,000 to 8,000 people will be allowed this year. Earlier, preparations were being made to accommodate about 24,000 people but due to the current scenario reduction has taken placed.
The Republic Day parade will start with a delay of 30 minutes at 10.30 am. This will be done to avoid fog. The following COVID protocols will be followed in the parade: mask,thermal check,double vaccination certificate.
