Actor Ranveer Singh will be questioned on August 22 in connection with a nude photo shoot. Mumbai Police has summoned Ranveer Singh for questioning in connection with nude photographs shared on social media by Mumbai's Chembur police station later this month. A team of Mumbai Police had gone to his residence on 22 August to serve notice to appear before him. The case was registered on the complaint of a non-governmental organization (NGO) of the city.

The NGO had alleged that the actor hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty by posting nude pictures of him on social media platforms.

The actor's viral photo series for Paper magazine late last month caused a stir on the internet. The photoshoot was a tribute to '70s pop icon Burt Reynolds, who also went nude in a 1972 shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine.
