Ramdev threatens Reporter, asks him to Shut up when asked about “Petrol at Rs 40 if BJP came to Power in 2014”
In a viral video, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev could be seen thrashing a Reporter who asked him about his comments a few years ago. This was in regards to Ramdev’s comment in 2014 when he said that the Price of Petrol would come down to Rs 40 if the government changed in 2014. The reporter further asked Ramdev for his assurance that petrol and LPG costs would come down if people voted the incumbent (Congress) out of power.
Baba Ramdev further added that he was not answerable to him or anyone else. “I gave that statement then, and I don’t give it now. Do what you can”, he was seen speaking in the video. Ramdev then threatened the reporter and went on to tell him, “It wouldn’t be good for him if he asked such questions again.”
Reportedly in 2014, Baba Ramdev said, “I have a study with me that says the basic price of petrol is only Rs 35, on which 50% tax is levied. If taxes are reduced from 50% to 1%, (fuel price is bound to come down). I have studied these much economics.”
