Rajnath Singh to address Naval Commanders at a Conference today
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has reached the Defense Office Complex to address the Naval Commanders' Conference today.
The conference serves as a forum for naval commanders to discuss important maritime matters at the military-strategic level as well as interact with senior government officials through an institutional forum.
Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane and Indian Air Force Marshal Vivek Ram Choudhary will also address the event. Four-day conference started on Monday and today is its last day.
The Chief of Naval Staff, along with other Naval Commanders, will review the major operational, material, logistics, human resource development, training and administrative activities undertaken by the Indian Navy in the last six months and consider future plans for critical operations. The conference will also focus on the dynamics of the geo-strategic situation in the backdrop of the security scenarios of the neighboring countries as well as emerging challenges due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In the meeting, along with the conversation on the current security situation, discussions can also be held to increase the combat capability of the Navy. Making the army's operations effective and increasing the efficiency will also be discussed in detail. At the same time, the top commanders will review in detail on the performance of sensors and weapons, prepration of the naval platform, projects and many other topics.
