Some big names were not bought by anyone in the first round on the second day of the auction which included stalwarts like Eoin Morgan, Aaron Finch, Sourav Tiwary, Marnus Labuschagne. At the same time, Aidan Markram was bought by SRH for 2.60 crores. David Malan, whose base price was Rs 1.5 crore, also remained unsold. Batsman Mandeep Singh was bought by the Delhi team for 1.10 crores instead of the base price of 50 lakhs. Jayant Yadav was bought by the Gujarat team for 1.70 crores.
All-rounder Vijay Shankar, whose base price was Rs 50 lakh, was bought by Gujarat for 1.40 crore. At the same time two crore Chris Jordan remained unsold. Odeon Smith was bought by Punjab Kings for 6 crores and his base price was 1 crore. Marco Janssen with a base price of 50 lakhs was bought by Hyderabad for 4.20 crores.
