In the past, celebrities joking about her health, or even mentioning her while she was away, are now addressing the situation in their own ways. In response to her past joke about the princess, Hollywood actress Blake Lively apologized immediately on her Instagram story. Following Kate's cancer diagnosis, other celebrities such as Katie Couric, Olivia Munn and Ivanka Trump have also expressed concern for her health.
Following Catherine's cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry and his American wife Meghan wished the Princess of Wales "health and healing."
Kate, better known as Catherine, announced she has an undisclosed form of the disease and is undergoing chemotherapy.
According to the California-based couple, Kate and her family deserve health and healing, as well as the ability to do so privately and in peace.
It comes at a tumultuous time for relations within the British royal family after Kate's diagnosis.
Princess Kate said, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales, was posted on the official social media handles of Prince and Princess of Wales.
