Prime Minister Modi: 1,200 gifts received by the Prime Minister will be auctioned, the amount received will go to the Namami Ganga project
He said that a wide range of gifts are to be auctioned by the common man as well as various dignitaries representing the rich culture and heritage of India. The base value of the gifts ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 10 lakh.
Over 1,200 items gifted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by people from different walks of life, including sportspersons and politicians, will be auctioned from September 17 and the proceeds will go to the Namami Gange Mission. National Gallery of Modern Art Director General Advait Gadnaik said the auction will be conducted through the web portal and the auction will end on October 2, where the gifts are displayed.

The list of gifts includes an idol of Rani Kamalapati gifted by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a Hanuman idol and a Surya painting gifted by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and a gift by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Contains a trident given in it. It also includes an idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi located in Kolhapur, which was gifted by NCP leader Ajit Pawar, and Lord Venkateswara, gifted by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
This will be the fourth edition of the e-auction of gifts received by PM Modi. Temsunaro Jamir, director of the National Gallery of Modern Art, said there is an exclusive collection of sporting items such as T-shirts, boxing gloves, javelin and rackets signed by the medal winning players.
