Aam Aadmi Party will support the common opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election. Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh made this announcement and said 'We have respect for Draupadi Murmu. But we will support Yashwant Sinha Ji. This decision has been taken after the meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of the Aam Aadmi Party.
A meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of all 11 PAC members of AAP was held at the Civil Lines residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal. During this, there was a discussion about whether any support should be given in the presidential election. All 11 PAC members including CM Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Gopal Rai, Atishi, ND Gupta, Durgesh Pathak, Pankaj Gupta, Raghav Chadha, Imran Hussain, and Rakhi Birla attended this meeting.
MP Sanjay Singh announced this after the meeting of the party's political affairs committee and said that the Aam Aadmi Party will support Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election. On the other hand, Yashwant Sinha, the joint candidate of non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parties for the presidential election, has reached Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, to garner the support of MLAs and MPs regarding his candidature.
