Pramod Bhagat Creates History, Wins First Gold In Badminton, Manoj Sarkar Gets Bronze
India made a Golden Day at the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020 on Saturday by winning four medals that include, two Gold, One Silver and One Bronze. India, so far, has bagged a total of 17 Medals. The two Gold medals of the day were won by Manish Narwal in shooting and Pramod Bhagat in Badminton. Shooter Singhraj Adhana won the Silver medal and Badminton player Manoj Sarkar won a Bronze medal.
New Delhi: Pramod Bhagat of India created history by winning First Gold Medal in the Badminton event being held first time in the Paralympics 2020. Manoj Sarkar has won Bronze medal. In the Final of the men's singles, SL3 event Pramod beat Daniel Bethell of England 21-14-21-17. In the same event, Manoj Sarkar defeated Daisuke Fujihara of England 22-20, 21-13 in the Bronze medal match.

Two Indian Shooters have won Gold and Silver Medals in the Same event. In P4 - Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 event Manish Narwal has won Gold and Singhraj Adhana got Silver. India got second Gold in the shooting events as the first Gold was won by Avani Lekhara, and Adhana has also won his second medal of Paralympics 2020. Earlier he has won Bronze Medal in 10M Air Rifle event. In today's Shooting Finals, Narwal scored 209.1 and Adhana 207.3.
Coming back to Badminton, Danial Bethell had beaten Manoj Sarkar in the Semi-Final but Pramod did not give him any chance in the men’s singles Finals played on Saturday evening, Pramod Bhagat had beaten Daisuke Fujihara of England 21-11, 21-16 and in the Bronze medal match, he was again beaten by an Indian, Manoj Kumar in the Bronze medal match.
