PM Modi : PM Modi will inaugurate the Centre-State Science Conclave in a while
The conclave will include Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology (S&T), Minister of Science and Technology and Secretaries of States and Union Territories, industrialists, entrepreneurs, NGOs, young scientists and students will be involved.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Centre-State Science Conclave today. This first of its kind conclave will strengthen centre-state coordination and cooperation mechanism to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. PM will inaugurate the program through video conferencing at 10:30 am. Science and technology ministers and secretaries from across the country will participate in the conclave.
This conference is special because its objective is to strengthen the coordination and cooperation mechanism between the Center and the State with the spirit of cooperative federalism. This conclave will create a strong eco-system of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) across the country. This two-day conclave is being organized at Science City, Ahmedabad.
It will lay out STI Vision 2047 and future development paths and vision for STIs in the states.
Health – Digital health care for all and doubling of private sector investment in R&D by 2030.
Agriculture- Technological interventions to improve the income of farmers.
Water – Innovations for the production of potable drinking water.
Energy – Clean energy for all, including the role of science and technology in the hydrogen mission.
Deep Ocean Mission and its relevance for the future economy of the country along with the coastal states and union territories.
