PM Gati Shakti: Help will be taken from PM Gati Shakti in social development
The five departments that have been linked to PM Gati Shakti include Health, Women and Child Development, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education and Housing and Urban Development.
The help of the PM Gati Shakti program, which was started to speed up the establishment of infrastructure projects, will now be taken in social development as well. The government decided to link five departments related to social concern with PM Gati Shakti. These include the Panchayati Raj to the Health Department. In October last, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan program to develop various infrastructure together and reduce logistics costs. Infrastructure projects costing more than Rs 500 crore are monitored under the National Master Plan.
The PM Gati Shakti program is being operated under the supervision of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). According to DPIIT Secretary Anurag Jain, now PM Gati Shakti is being used for social development programs as well. He told that for example, PM Gati Shakti data can be used in setting up Anganwadi centers. The five departments that have been linked to PM Gati Shakti include Health, Women and Child Development, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education and Housing and Urban Development.
According to DPIIT, PM Gati Shakti will be able to know in which places there is a shortage of health centers or there is no school. This data will be available with all the states and they can easily plan to open schools and health centers in their respective states. Schools and health centers can be opened at all places in a balanced manner. Real time data and satellite images are available on the PM Gatishakti portal, through which information about schools and hospitals across the country can be found at one place.
