Parambrata Chatterjee on Triptii Dimri: ‘National Crushes Are Temporary, Class Is Permanent’
He opined that the 'national crush' title is just a transient state; an actress still has miles to go.
Parambrata Chatterjee on Triptii Dimri: Triptii Dimri first came into prominence as the national crush after her role in the film Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Parambrata Chatterjee, who starred with her in Bulbbul, remarked upon the 'national crush' tag during his interview with SCREEN, saying she has miles to go.
Parambrata on Triptii Dimri's 'national crush' tag
During one rapid-fire round, Parambrata was asked to rank his female co-stars based on talent. He placed Triptii Dimri at the bottom and ranked Vidya Balan the most talented. He went on to say about the ‘national crush’ tag that such tags are temporary while real talent is permanent. He said, "It is what it is; national crushes are temporary, but class is permanent. I mean, no offence. Sorry. What is she called? Bhabhi 2!"
He also drew a comparison with Vidya Balan, saying, "She is lovely, a very nice girl, and I really get along with her. But she still has miles to go. She entered the industry very young and will learn a lot. But Vidya, I mean, sorry to say, is a class apart in whatever she does."
