Padma Bhushan Pallonji Mistry died at the age of 93
According to media reports, Shapoorji Palonji has died in Mumbai at the age of 93. He was the father of Cyrus Mistry.
Shapoorji Pallonji Group Chairman Padma Bhushan Pallonji Mistry has passed away at the age of 93 in Mumbai. Polanji was the father of Cyrus Mistry, who was the chairman of Tata Sons.
Shapoorji Pallonji Group's business spans across engineering, construction, infrastructure, real estate, water energy and financial services. This group has about 50,000 employees. It is said on behalf of the company that this group is doing business in 50 countries of the world.
Pallonji Mistry was born in a Parsi family. He also took Irish citizenship in 2003. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in the year 2016. He family consist of his wife Pasti Perin Dubas and four children Shapoor Mistry, Cyrus Mistry (sons) while Laila Mistry and Alu Mistry (daughters). His son Cyrus Mistry was the chairman of the Tata Group from 2012 to 2016.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also condoled the death of Pallonji Mistry by tweeting and paid tribute to him.
After the demise of industrialist Pallonji Mistry, Union Minister Smriti Irani has also tweeted paying tribute to him. He has appreciated Pallonji Mistry's scholarship and gentleness towards his work.
