Oscars 2022: The Best-Dressed Celebrities who Ate and Left No Crumbs
From Zendaya's Crop-Top which was more Illusion of a Shirt to Chalamet's No Shirt At All, these ensembles at the 94th Academy Awards are the talk of the town.
The Oscars have been transformed from a conventional Gown Gracing Evening to a night where stories are being told using Ensembles. The 94th Academy Awards epitomize the fact more sternly. The shirts weren’t worn by the ones who wear them, conventionally and we’re not complaining. The Oscars aren’t known for Experimentation, but Just like the movies, the garments have a plot of their own, and they reveal just as much as their muse wants them to. Some were a major hit, while others couldn’t survive the heat of “Astonishing Apparels.”
Though a majority of the looks were more “Meh”, a few of the looks served. Let’s take a look at some of the best-dressed celebs at the Oscars.
1. Megan Thee Stallion in Gaurav Gupta Couture
In a sculpted Gaurav Gupta Couture, Megan Thee Stallion transformed into an Aquatic Mermaid. Like an empress of a Primordial Coral Reef, Stallion in “The Fantasy Biomorphic Gown” was a compelling sight. Her glam Cat-Eye make-up aided her Majesty Ensemble. The strapless Carolina Blue gown encrusted with crystals featured a side cutout at the torso, giving way to a leg-baring slit. On the skirt that flew out, exaggerated fins adhered to the train, which are synonymous with Gupta’s indigenous sculpting. She kept her neck bare, making her decolletage an opulent jewel. The “Hot Girl” paired the gown with matching Stuart Weitzman stilettos and Rhinestone Rings.
2. Timothée Chalamet in Louis Vuitton
In the latest edition of the star-studded Oscars, Timothée shattered the quintessential Masculine restraints by choosing his ensemble from Nicols Ghesquière’s Spring 2022 Womenswear Collection. While in the original collection, the model wore a mesh Polka Dot Shirt underneath, Mr. Chalamet teased us by showing us his bare self. The sleeves extended a little to midway of the palms and the lace detail added an additional vigor to the overall ensemble. To complement that, he decided to give residence to White Cartier Rings and a Panther Neck Chain which served as a spotlight on his undraped skin. Minimal Pants forayed the entire focus on the sequined coat. Ankle-Length Boots were typically Masculine per se, iterating the escapism from pedestrian Fashion prudence.
Someone fetch us a bottle of Chalamet, please.
3. Maggie Gyllenhall in Schiaparelli
Any Red Carpet event is in dire need of some Schiaparelli, and we might wanna thank Maggie Gyllenhall for that. She took the outfit from the latest Schiaparelli 2022 Collection, only with a little modification, While the original attire was knee-length, Maggie decided to get it to the floor. In a Schiaparelli Haute Couture Column Gown, on which 3-D Gold accents were embossed, the off-shoulder neckline gave her an “Avant-Garde” regalia.
4. Cody Smit McPhee in Bottega Veneta
How do you make something as monotonous as a Suit stand out? Well, you might just be in luck, Cody Smit McPhee in his Bottega Veneta suit is here to tell you just that. When it comes to Men Suits, monotony can make a guest appearance quite frequently, but not when it comes to Cody. The Australian Actor articulated in his pastel blue suit. For the tie, Mr. Cody chose a Cartier Jewel Piece and donned the ensemble in Classic Chelsea Boots. While Stallion exuded a more Caroline Blue, Cody went with a more Pale Turquoise shade. Mc Phee has been a Fashion Breakout this year with all his phenomenal Red Carpet apparel, and at the Academy too, he did not disappoint.
5. Zendaya in Valentino
Zendaya redefined the “White-Shirt” narrative by transforming it into a “Crop-Top''. The satin illusion of the buttoned-up Satin shirt was paired with a Sequined Valentino Skirt, paying homage to the Old-Hollywood aesthetic, yet with a suburban touch. As bangles, Silver Serpents wrapped around her wrist and extended further, adding an Indian Undertone. You thought Glamor cannot be playful, let Zendaya teach you how to individualize any piece of outfit from your wardrobe. We are certainly anticipating “Crop-Shirts” and “Blingy-Skirts” in the clubs, real soon.
