The most coveted Awards for the Global Films and Entertainment Industry, the Academy Awards are on the verge of initiation. The Oscars 2022, will be the 94th edition of the Academy Awards. One of the most prestigious awards shows, which honors the best movies of the year, has been delayed this year due to the ongoing pandemic. Initially, it was supposed to take place in the month of February/early March, but owing to Covid, got delayed, yet again.

The Power of the Dog, Belfast, CODA, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley, and West Side Story are the top contenders of the Oscars 2022 Best Movie. Hopes are at an all time high for The Power of Dog thats stars the Sherlock fame Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst in the lead.

The nominations for the Best Actress Awards include Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Olivia Colman for The Lost Daughter, Penélope Cruz for Parallel Mothers, Nicole Kidman for Being the Ricardos, and Kristen Stewart for Spencer.

As per the Indian Standard Time (IST), The Acaemty Awards will air from 5.30 am onwards on March 28. The Academy Awards this year are taking place at the Dolby Theatre, which is in the heart of Hollywood.
