Omicron is like a natural vaccine, it is sure to increase the immunity of people against corona

Amidst the increasing cases of Omicron in the country, India's top health experts have said that the new variant works like a natural vaccine for corona. The reason for this - patients have mild or no symptoms. When infected with Omicron, people do not become seriously ill and the body produces antibodies against the virus. According to immunologist Dr. Govardhan Das, Omicron is a mild form of Delta. Even though this variant has more mutations, it is taking very few people to the hospital.

Talking to Outlook magazine, Dr. Govardhan Das, professor and eminent immunologist from Jawaharlal Nehru University, said that he believes that Omicron is a natural vaccine for corona. According to him, the virus has weakened over time. Today scientists manufacture vaccines using similar viruses. In this, a weakened form of the virus is injected into people, due to which antibodies are made in their body.

According to Dr. Das, many mutations of Omicron are good for the human body. They believe that the more we fight the virus, the stronger our immune system will be against the corona. Dr. Das says that Omicron is currently the most effective vaccine available for corona.
