North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police apprehends Notorious Robbers previously involved in Snatching and Theft, recovers Knives, Motorcycles, and Mobile Phones

In a major development, the North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police arrested two Notorious Criminals, who were later identified to be dreaded robbers, and recovered a button actuated knife, a stolen motorcycle, and two stolen mobile phones. The accused have been identified as Mahboob Alam (20), and Firoz (21), both of whom have previous criminal records.

According to Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North-East District, New Delhi, “ On the 11th of April, while patrolling in the area, a police team comprising HC Ajay, Const. Chand Ram and Const. Hawa Singh under the supervision of the SHO Khajuri Khas reached Titiksha Public School Khajuri Khas and started random checking of vehicles. At about 9:00 PM police team noticed two persons riding on the TVS Apache motorcycle, sensing the presence of the police team, the bikers took a sharp U-turn. Having seen this suspicious activity of the bikers, the staff chased and stopped them. On questioning, they tried to bluff the police team and also not produce documents related to ownership of the motorcycle.

On cursory search, one button actuated knife and one mobile phone was recovered from the pillion and one mobile phone without SIM was recovered from the possession the rider for which they couldn’t reply satisfactorily, On further checking the motorcycle No. DL-4SDH-9032 they riding was found to be stolen vide case e-FIR No. 05923/22 u/s 379 IPC, PS Shalimar Bagh, Delhi and one recovered mobile phone Oppo, also found to be stolen vide e-FIR No. 0390/22 dated 11.5.22 u/s 379 IPC PS-Khajuri Khas, Delhi. Accordingly, a case vides FIR No-363/2022 dated 11.5.2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 102 Cr. PC, PS Khajuri Khas, Delhi was registered and an investigation was taken up.

On sustained interrogation, they confessed to their crime and disclosed their involvements in various cases of snatching, theft, and auto lifting. Sincere efforts are on to link the other mobile phone with the concerned case. According to the Police, further investigation into the case is going in progress.
