North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police apprehends accused trying to cause Communal Disharmony

New Delhi: In the current scenario wherein communal stirs are elaborated well across the country, the North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police apprehended the accused who were causing Communal Harmony. The accused have been identified as Aman (20), and Jeeshan (20). Another accused has been identified as Sameer.

According to the Office of DCP, “On the 24th of April 2022, at about 10:32 PM, a PCR call stating “Caller Apne Aap Ko Police Staff Se Bata Raha Hai, Jo Bol Raha Hai Ki, Yahan Per Kuchh Muslim Log Maarpeet Karne ke Liye Bol Rahe Hain Aur Yahan Per Bheed Ho Rakhi Hai, Need Help” was received in PS Khajuri Khas. On receipt of the above information, PCR Van, as well as ERV and local staff of PS Khajuri Khas, immediately reached the spot i.e. Gali No. 13, F -Block, Khajuri Khas, Delhi, and controlled the situation.”

Further, it was established that “During the inquiry into the matter, complainant Sonu Kumar, stated that he along with his friend Nirdesh S/o Devendra R/o F-199, Gali No. 11, Khajuri Khas, Delhi, were walking in Gali around their home after dinner and when they reached in Gali No. 13, at about 10-10:30 pm they found three persons namely Aman, Jeeshan, and Sameer already standing in that Gali.

These boys uttered threatening words mentioning riots in Delhi, showing disharmony, feeling of enmity, and hatred towards the religion of the complainant. They also tried to manhandle the complainant and his friend on the issue with the help of their other associate.

The Police, however, were very vigilant, responded well in time, and took hold of the situation. On the statement of the complainant and local inquiry conducted at the spot, the alleged act of said persons was found to be an attempt of promoting communal disharmony and to disturb public tranquility at large in the area. In the current scenario, such acts of promoting enmity between two communities on grounds of religion, etc. can adversely affect the peace & tranquility of the area, the Police said.

Accordingly, a case vides FIR No. 342/2022 under 153A/34 IPC, PS Kahjuri Khas, Delhi had been registered and two persons. Besides, three persons have been bound under the provision of CrPC to keep peace in the area. Further, the investigation into the case is in progress.
