North East Delhi Team of Nand Nagri Police apprehends a Drug Peddler, recovers 31.8 grams of Psychotropic Substance

As per Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy Commissioner of Police of the North East District, “While patrolling in the area of PS Nand Nagari a police team comprising HC Harender, Const. Lalit and W/Const. Tara, noticed, a lady near C-1 block, Jhuggi park, holding a white polythene bag in her hand. Just after seeing the Police, the woman started moving in another direction at a fast pace. The lady tried to hide the polythene bag inside her worn cloths. She was immediately identified and stopped by the police team. Further, the information was shared with the SHO/ACP Nand Nagri.

Mr Sain further added, “Following the due procedure of NDPS Act SI Neeraj got conducted the personal search of the suspected lady through lady constable in the presence of ACP/Nand Nagri.” Immediately after that, they were able to recover a white polythene containing 2 small polythene pouches. The pouches contained powder type substance. On further examination, one of the pouches contained 21 grams and another contained 10.8 grams of psychotropic substance. Later on, the accused went on to confess for her crime and disclosed that the psychotropic substance was nothing but smack.

After that, A case was filed with FIR No. 328/22 u/s 21/61/85 as per the NDPS Act, PS Nand Nagri, Delhi was registered and the lady was arrested after obtaining permission from the Hon'b le court. Further attempts are being made from Police’s end to track the smack supplier of the nearby region.
