Noida police accused of entraping youth in smuggling drugs - taking bribe, 4 suspended
Noida Zone DCP Harish Chander said, outpost in-charge Lokesh Sharma, head constable Rajkumar Tyagi, constable Ankit Balyan and Sonu Kumar have been suspended. The constable, who was seen taking the bribe, was identified as Sonu. He has been taken into custody.
The Noida Police has been accused of making one person an accused in ganja smuggling and threatening to recover 20 thousand rupees. Four policemen have also been suspended in the case.
It is being told that a person doing a private job was picked up by some policemen and beaten up accusing him of smuggling ganja. After threatening to send him to jail, he was released after taking a bribe of 20 thousand rupees.
Police spokesperson ADCP Ashutosh Dwivedi said, four policemen including the outpost in-charge have been suspended after the video went viral on social media. Taking the constable who is seen taking the bribe in the video, an FIR has been registered and further legal action is being taken in this matter.
According to Narang Tiwari, a resident of village Bishanpura, on September 14, three policemen came from Gypsy. They took him to the Sector-57 police outpost of Sector-58 police station area. It is alleged that Narang Tiwari was accused of smuggling ganja.
Along with this, there is also an allegation of beating the policemen. Narang told that the policemen demanded 50 thousand rupees instead of leaving him. Somehow he juggled 20 thousand rupees and gave it to the policemen. During this, a person from Narang got its video made from mobile.
