Night view system is changing after 18 years of Taj Mahal now tickets will also be available online
Agra Development Foundation had filed a petition in the Supreme Court in the year 2019 seeking to start the facility of booking tickets for Taj Ratri Darshan online. Tourists have to book tickets a day in advance from the Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) office located on Mall Road for night darshan, which happens for five days on the full moon in a month.
There is going to be a change in the arrangement of Taj Mahal night vision after 18 years. Tourists will now be able to book night darshan tickets online as well. The Supreme Court made this order on Wednesday on the petition of the Agra Development Foundation. This will provide convenience to the tourists.
Agra Development Foundation had filed a petition in the Supreme Court in the year 2019 seeking to start the facility of booking tickets for Taj Ratri Darshan online. Tourists have to book tickets a day in advance from the Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) office located on Mall Road for night darshan, which happens for five days on the full moon in a month. Due to this, tourists do not have problems, many times tourists are not able to see the Taj night due to non-availability of tickets. To remove this inconvenience, Agra Development Foundation had filed a petition to start the facility of online ticket booking.
Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Abhay S. Oak's bench heard the matter. KC Jain, Secretary, Agra Development Foundation said that the Supreme Court has ordered the ASI to book online tickets for Taj Ratri Darshan during the day. With this, tourists will be able to book tickets for Taj Ratri Darshan from anywhere. They don't have to stand in line. This will give them a lot of convenience. Superintending archaeologist Dr. Rajkumar Patel told that the order of the Honorable Supreme Court is being awaited.
