Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's grand statue to be installed at India Gate

The government of India will install a grand statue of the renowned freedom fighter and the creator of the India National Army - Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the India Gate.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made this announcement on his Twitter handle. In a series of tweets, PM Modi said that the entire nation is celebrating Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birth anniversary on January 23 and the government will install a statue made up of granite at India gate.

PM Modi, posting a picture of Netaji Bose’s statue, wrote, “At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him.”

PM Modi also said that till the time his statue is not ready for installation, he will unveil a hologram statue.

“Till the grand statue of Netaji Bose is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place. I will unveil the hologram statue on 23rd January, Netaji’s birth anniversary," PM Modi wrote.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a charismatic leader of the Indian freedom movement who had a strong influence on youngsters. He raised the Indian National Army to fight against the British forces.
