Indian Railways is also focusing on bringing in two standard-gauge bullet trains for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail route. So that it can support the "Make in India" movement.
The decision to introduce two standard-gauge bullet trains after discussion with Japanese suppliers was stopped because of over-price differences. These bullet trains will feature 8 cars and will go up to 250 km/h.
However, the bullet train project was supposed to be finished by 2022 but it has faced many delays due to the problems of acquiring land in Mumbai.
But Indian Railways is doing its best to improve its capacity, safety, and the experience of its passengers, even though there are problems.
