Men of Maharashtra are given Anti-Rabies shot instead of Covid Vaccine
A resident Rajkumar Yadav went to the civic-run medical center on Monday to get a jab against the Covid infection.
A man was administered an anti-rabies medicine rather than a Covid-19 vaccine at a medical center in Maharashtra's Thane district, which followed a nurse and a doctor of the facility was suspended said a civic official. A local resident Rajkumar Yadav went to the civic-run medical center in the Kalwa area on Monday to get a jab against the infection. He was in the wrong queue and after being vaccinated he was told that he was administered the vaccine against rabies, said a spokesperson of the Thane Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.
The man got tensed, but he is fine and has no complications. He then complained to authorities and based on a preliminary inquiry, a woman doctor who was in charge of the medical center and a nurse were under suspension for the goof-up, said the official.
