Meghalaya Mystery: Indore Couple Seen with 3 Men on Day of Disappearance, Reveals Local Guide
Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam – were having their honeymoon in the East Khasi Hills region when they disappeared on May 23.
Meghalaya Mystery: A tourist guide is reported to have said that Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife were traveling with three companions when they went missing in the Sohra area of Meghalaya, as PTI released on Friday.
Officials have also reported that the guide told the police about the information in the past.
On May 23, the newlywed couple – Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam – started their honeymoon in East Khasi Hills and were never seen again.
Even though Raja’s body has been recovered this week, his wife, Sonam, is still not here. Many different agencies have united to search for the woman who is missing.
According to him, the couple was under the care of three tourists as they went up more than 3,000 steps from Nongriat to Mawlakhiat at about 10 am on May 23.
Still, he reminded that he was aware of the couple as he offered help to them the day before, but they politely declined and went ahead with a different guide.
"The four men were walking ahead while the woman was behind. The four men were conversing in Hindi but I could not understand what they were speaking as I know only Khasi and English," Pde said.
"By the time I reached Mawlakhiat, their scooter was not there," the guide claimed.

‘State govt not doing enough’
At the same time, according to Sonam’s brother Govind, who is in Shillong, the authorities are not doing their best and are just pretending to search for her.
"We strongly believe Sonam is alive. They are searching for her like she is dead," Govind said, requesting authorities to use the assistance of the CBI or any other agencies as per PTI.
At the same time, Conrad K Sangma assured that the government was making all efforts to find the missing woman.
Nevertheless, because of the uneven ground, lots of rain, and tough weather, the search team had difficulty navigating.
"We are trying our best... our boys are doing what they can without rest using gadgets and trained dogs. The search will continue," East Khasi Hills district Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said, according to PTI.
