MCD Removes 2.57 Lakh Posters: To follow the model code of conduct, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi took down 2.57 billion bills, flags, signs, and small boards in 12 zones.
Two days were needed for the MCD to get rid of two million election ads. It took down 133 ads on Monday.
The Election Commission gives each state 24 hours to get rid of any illegal election ads.
The City SP Zone had the most signs taken down (9,82). Five hundred and sixteen were in the Central Zone, which was next. The last five hundred were in the South Zone.

People were told about the 2024 Lok Sabha polls on Saturday by the Election Commission.
The Model Code of Conduct will also stay in place until the election results are made public.
MCD has taken down 1,90,941 lakh signs, 28,675 billboards, 21,205 banners, and 17,174 small boards so far.
The 2024 Lok Sabha polls were made public on March 16.
PTI SJJ NB has 12 zones under its jurisdiction, including Rohini Zone, City SP Zone, Civil Lines Zone, Karol Bagh Zone, Narela Zone, Keshavpurm Zone, South Zone, West Zone, Najafgarh Zone, Central Zone, Shahadara North Zone and Shahadara South Zone.
