MCC announces new cricket laws

The rule making body related to cricket has mainly made changes in 9 rules of cricket. Many of these rules will have a direct impact on the bowlers. In this era of T20 cricket, when it is said that everything is done according to the batsmen, then this amendment of MCC will give relief to the bowlers.

In this era of T20, when the batsmen bat by rotating 360 degree angle in every way, then the problems in front of the bowlers increase. In such a situation, if the bowler chases the batsman and puts the ball on the leg side, then the umpire declares it wide.

After the new amendment, it will not be easy for the umpire to take this decision as the decision of wide will be taken on the basis of where the batsman stands. Now if the batsman chases the ball and is able to play it, he will not be given a wide.

Under the amendment of the new rule, Mankading has also been given run out status. Earlier, the bowlers were accused of being against the spirit of the game by doing so. But now they will be able to run out in this way as it will be legal from October 2022.
