In the book, Tiwari has written that after the Mumbai attack, the then government should have taken strict action against Pakistan. This was a time when action was absolutely necessary. Tiwari has written in the book that a country (Pakistan) kills innocent people and it has no remorse. Even after this, if we exercise restraint, then it is not a sign of strength but a sign of weakness. Tiwari compared the 26/11 attacks to the 9/11 attacks in America.
The BJP has raised questions on the Congress after the controversy over the book surfaced. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia termed the intentions of the then UPA government as bad. He said that the Air Chief Marshal at that time had said that our Air Force was ready to respond, but action was not allowed. Congress should answer for this.
