Maharashtra News : Big action of Maharashtra ATS, PFI's Panvel secretary and two members arrested

Another action has been seen against the banned organization PFI (Popular Front of India). Maharashtra ATS has arrested the secretary of PFI and two other members from Panvel. It is alleged that despite being banned, PFI is trying to take forward its organization and both the arrested accused are associated with the extension team of PFI.

Maharashtra ATS had received intelligence about a meeting of PFI members in Panvel, after which the ATS took this action. Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is engaged in the investigation of the matter.

According to information received from Maharashtra ATS, eight cases are registered against Charat Singh. He came out on parole in March 2022 from Kapurthala jail in Punjab. Even during the parole period, he along with his accomplices attacked the Punjab Police, Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali on 9 May 2022 with a rocket propelled grenade.
