Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit and husband Shriram Nene have reportedly rented a new house in a high-rise building, located in Worli, Mumbai. The couple have taken the house on lease and the rent is Rs12.5 lakh per month. Though this news is being spread like a fresh wave, according to the GQ magazine Dixit rented this apartment in the month of November last year. Before this, the legendary actress had been living in Lokhandwala for years.
Apoorva Shroff, who has designed the house for the couple, told Pinkvilla, "The brief was to give the new home of the star couple a quick makeover. The apartment located on 29th floor of a Worli high rise had a spectacular view of the city sparkling below at night and ample of light filtering in from all directions during the day. Along with time being a major constraint, another challenge was convincing the clients to move out of their comfortable palette of nudes and experimenting with colours."
Shroff in a post on her Instagram mentioned, “45 days, residential project, for none other than Madhuri Dixit and Shriram Nene. It was a roller coaster, but just such a brilliant experience. Cant wait to share more with you."
According to Zapkey.com, the price of an apartment in this area costs a whopping Rs 70,000 per sq ft. She has rented the space out for 36 months with a rent escalation clause of a 5% upward revision every year. She will be paying a monthly rental of Rs 12.50 lakh which brings the annual expenditure to Rs 1.5 crore. The actress has paid a whopping 3 crore security for this apartment.
