LSAT India to prepone exam dates, to be conducted in multiple slots
Registration for the LSAT India will therefore end on May 14th due to the change in the examination date
Following the decision by CBSE board to postpone Class XII exams, LSAC Global has announced that the 2021 LSAT in India will be administered in June over several days and slots beginning May 29th. The date of the test has been pushed forward from June 14th to late May.
According to LSAC Global, the decision to postpone the LSAT-India June exam was made to prevent clashes with the CBSE class 12th exams, which were also postponed due to the increasing number of covid-19 cases in the nation.
The LSAT India has been conducted by an online test delivery system, owing to the pandemic, the exam makes use of artificial intelligence-assisted remote proctoring to ensure the test's integrity and validity. This format allows students to take the test without the threat of contracting the virus while continuing to work on their law school applications.
Yusuf Abdul-Kareem, vice president of LSAC stated, “Earlier this year, we scheduled an additional administration of the LSAT—India in March to avoid a conflict with the Board exams,” he further noted, “Because our exam is administered online and at home, the LSAT—India has more flexibility. Thus, we can offer aspirants an option to concentrate on one exam that will enable them to demonstrate their true ability to top colleges without having to worry about other tests.”
Registration for the LSAT India will therefore end on May 14th due to the change in the examination date. The entrance exam has received registration from upwards of 5,000 candidates.
The CBSE is still to determine when the Class 12 board exams will begin, and will announce a decision only after June 1st, following anassessment of the situation of the pandemic and its severity.
