Lalu Yadav's weather forecast for the PM's visit: "hail of false promises" and "rain of lies"
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi poked fun at the RJD-Congress combine, RJD Chief Lalu Yadav took a shot at the former by saying that there was a "rain of lies" and a "hail of false promises" in Bihar.
Lalu Yadav's weather forecast for the PM's visit: RJD chief Lalu Yadav ridiculed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, whom he is in Bihar, by joking about the weather and said there is a “heavy rain of lies” and a "hail of false promises" in the election state.
Lalu Yadav's jibe came after PM Modi, earlier on Friday, attacked the RJD-Congress alliance over dynasty politics, claiming that those wanting power are only interested in advancing their own families' interests, while his government is working for 'positive' and 'inclusive' politics.

"Weather warning in the interest of Bihar. Today, there is a heavy rain of lies, false promises and illusions in Bihar. Hailstones of false and tempting promises are also falling along with thunder. Be careful," Lalu Yadav wrote on X.
#Bihar #TejashwiYadav #RJD pic.twitter.com/VrGTcjRN98

The RJD chief also shared an AI video to showcase the tribulations of people following NDA promises of which Bihar's Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar is also aligned with.
The clip shows an elderly man sitting in the rural countryside under an umbrella signalling that he is trying to take shelter from 'a flood of promises', and then moves on to show a young man holding an umbrella singing loudly in spite of thunderstorms, questioning how much longer will the people endure 'the hail of false promises'?
The video also shows Nitish Kumar and PM Modi dancing cheerfully under a collapsing bridge to symbolize the infrastructural disaster and corruption in NDA regime.
While addressing a rally in Siwan, where he also dedicated development schemes worth Rs 10,000 crore, PM Modi urged the people to vote out those who brought 'jungle raj' to Bihar and looted Bihar, which was his fifth trip in five months to Bihar.

On the other hand, Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav's son and Leader of Opposition, responded to PM Modi's attacks on the RJD by claiming he is reading out of a teleprompter.
"What he said was ghisa-pita (cliched), had no content, and he read from teleprompter. Jumlon ka saaya hai, dekho phir wohi aaya hai. (There's a shadow of lies and look, he has come back again)," he said.
Taking a shot at NDA, which he called "National Damad Alliance", he alleged that Nitish Kumar ignored all the issues of the people and attended PM Modi's Rally in Siwan.
"The RJD has a clear vision and roadmap for the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continues to ignore people’s issues while attending PM Modi’s rallies, something that comes easily to him. The NDA, which is the ,National Damad Alliance', should take accountability and answer to the people of Bihar," he said.
Bihar, with 243 Assembly seats, will hold elections in October-November this year.
