Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei reacted to US President Donald Trump's threatening comment that "Israel made a huge mistake and will be punished for that," he said in a speech.
On Wednesday, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei reacted to US President Donald Trump's threatening comment that Iran must "unconditionally surrender", by saying that Iran doesn't respond well to "the language of threat" and that Isreal's attack on Iran is a major mistake.
"Israel made a huge mistake and will be punished for that," he said in a speech.
He said Iran will not accept a peace imposed or war imposed.
Referring to Trump's threats, he said: "Those who know Iran's history know that Iranians do not answer well to the language of threat".
He also directed some threats at the United States as well.
"They should know that Iran will not surrender, and any US strike will have serious, irreparable consequences," he added.

Israel strikes Tehran
A series of powerful airstrikes carried out by Israel rocked the capital of Iran early Wednesday, making them the most direct and violent escalation yet in the weeklong military campaign on Iran aimed at destroying Iran's military and nuclear infrastructures.
A series of massive Israeli airstrikes hit the Iranian capital early Wednesday morning, the most direct and dramatic worsening in an expansive military operation to destroy Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities over the previous week. The airstrikes came just hours after Trump urged the residents of Tehran to leave, and called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender.”
Donald Trump also warned that the US knows where Khamenei is hiding.

"We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter," he wrote on Truth Social.
Thousands of residents began evacuating Tehran on Wednesday after Israeli warplanes bombed the city late Tuesday night.
Reuters, quoting intelligence sources, reported that US President Donald Trump is weighing military options related to joining Israel in attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.
Israel reported that 50 jets attacked around 20 Iranian Tehran targets overnight to destroy sites producing raw materials, components and manufacturing systems for missiles.
Iran has killed at least 224 and injured 1,277 others. Israel has lost at least 24 lives at the hand of Iranian retaliatory strikes.
