‘Jigra’ Box Office Day 7: Alia Bhatt’s Film Nears ₹25 Crore Mark After One Week

Alia Bhatt Jigra box office report: The Alia Bhatt starrer film Jigra marks the completion of one week today since its release on October 11. The film has received both positive and negative reviews but hasn’t performed well at the box office.
In the first week, Jigra nearing ₹25 crore box office but has failed to cross the mark. As per Sacnilk, the opening week's earnings of the film stand at Rs 22.45 crore.
Upon its release, the film made around Rs 16 crore in the first three days. From Monday, the Jigra movie earnings drop and earned only around Rs 1.5 crore each day.
On Thursday, October 18, which marks Jigra box office collection day 7, the film made only Rs 1.25 crore.
This was Alia Bhatt’s lowest-earning movie in her film career and the budget of the film was reported to be Rs 90 crore. The subject of the film was unusual and got lots of criticism from the critics.

The film might have done well but due to negative reviews, the performance of the film got worse. Furthermore, the comment from Divya Khosla that the theatre was empty and accused the production house of showing high numbers highly affected the film’s earnings.
Moreover, a Manipur actor, Bijou Thaangjam criticises the film stating that the film’s casting team was harsh to actors from Northeast India. He added that he was asked to remain available in December last year for the shoot of the film but never got a call.
However, the film also features Vedang Raina, Aditya Nanda, Manoj Pahwa, and many others.
