Indian international cricketer Jasprit Bumrah is out of the bachelor category

Social media has been rife with speculations ever since Jasprit Bumrah opted out of his cricketing duties last month for the fourth Test match against the visiting England side, citing personal reasons. Well, the cat’s out of the bag now and the ‘personal reason’ was none other than marrying his girlfriend Sanjana Ganesan over the weekend.

The couple quietly tied the knot over the weekend in a resort in Goa amongst the presence of close friends and family in an intimate ceremony. The pandemic circumstances could not allow the extravagant fanfare the public is used to when an Indian cricketer gets married, which is why the Indian cricket boys were not invited to the wedding. Sanjana does not come far from the world of cricket, she is a popular sports presenter, mainly covering the Indian cricketing events. She is proven beauty standing in the runner up position for the Miss India pageant and previously seen by people in the MTV show of ‘Splitsvilla’.

The couple accomplished in keeping their relationship under wraps giving a shock to Bumrah and cricketing fans who were blindsided with the social media post by both the bride and groom. Bumrah shared pictures from the wedding ceremony with the caption "Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you."

The photos show Bumrah and Sanjana wearing coordinated traditional outfits, the bride is seen adorned in jewels matching her pink lehenga while the groom looking immaculate in sherwani and bejewelled pink turban. The couple tied the knot in a Sikh ceremony, the entire wedding venue following the ‘pink theme’ decked out with roses of different shades of pink.

Bumrah seems invincible in his ways of bowling out the best batsmen on the pitch but he seems to have been bowled out by the Maharashtrian beauty, Sanjana and retired permanently from the bachelor life.
