Janhvi Kapoor on Sridevi Love for Her Hair: ‘Will Never Cut It for Any Role’

Janhvi Kapoor on Sridevi Love for Her Hair: The ‘Ulajh’ film starring actress Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she will never go bald for any scene or role in a film because of her mother ‘Sridevi’ who was proud of her hair and because of it she will never go bald.

In a recent chat with Roshan Mathew, host on the IMDb exclusive segment ‘Ask Each Other Anything’ on a discussion about her recent release film ‘Ulajh,’ Janhvi Kapoor talked about the things that she would never do in her acting life.

When she was asked about the things that she would never do for a role, she replied that in her acting life, she would never go bald even though it meant an unparalleled opportunity or life-changing.

She said, “They can just put a bald cap on or use VFX. I have dislocated my shoulder, I've bled, broken bones, and put myself through all kinds of trauma and torture, but going bald is something I refuse to do.”

She also added, “Even for my character in Ulajh, Sudhanshu wanted me to cut my hair short and it was my biggest fight with him,” she shared an incident when her mom ‘Sridevi’ scolded her for cutting her hair short.

The Bollywood actress further said, “Because I remember during Dhadak when I cut my hair, my mom yelled at me a lot and she was like, ‘how could you? Do not cut your hair for any role.' Every third or fourth day, she used to put oil in my hair and massage my head. She was very proud of my hair. So I will not cut my hair.”

However, the iconic actress Janhvi Kapoor on August 2 released her new film ‘Ulajh’ starring famous stars such as Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Sachin Khedekar and many others.

Earlier, the film received a huge response in its fan's preview screening on July 31st, the tickets were sold in just 30 minutes.

The film ‘Ulajh’ is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and is a spy thriller film. In the film, Janhvi Kapoor is portrayed as ‘Suhana’ who is an IFS officer.
