Jammu and Kashmir News : 6 earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir within 24 hours, no casualty reported
The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 km southeast of Udhampur at a depth of 5 km from the ground. The fifth earthquake, which measured 3.1 in the afternoon, hit Kishtwar district of Jammu region at 2:17 pm.
Earthquake tremors have been felt 6 times in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, due to which there has been a stir here. Even on Tuesday night, the earth trembled here because of the earthquake. However, fortunately, no casualty has been reported here.
Officials said the first quake occurred at 2:20 pm, with its epicenter 61 km east of Katra area at a depth of 10 km. The second quake occurred at 3:21 am and measured 2.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the quake was 9.5 km east of Doda in Jammu region at a depth of 5 km from the ground.
For the third time, the tremors of magnitude 2.8 were felt at 3:44 am and the epicenter of the quake was 29 km east of Udhampur, at a depth of 10 km, he said. Officials said that the earthquake struck for the fourth time on Tuesday at 8.03 am and its magnitude was 2.9.
