Jammu and Kashmir : Grenade attack in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, one policeman martyred
The terrorists lobbed a grenade on the bunker of the 161st Battalion of CRPF. A CRPF jawan and a civilian were injured in this. A cordon and search operation has been started to nab the terrorists.
A policeman was killed in a grenade attack in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said on Sunday that the incident took place on Saturday night in Kaimoh area of South Kashmir district. Police of Kashmir Division tweeted, "Grenade attack last night in Kaimoh, Kulgam. In this terrorist incident, a policeman named Tahir Khan posted in Mendhar, Poonch was injured.
Yesterday i.e. on August 13, a grenade was hurled at the security forces by terrorists near Ali Jan Road, Idgah in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists lobbed a grenade on the bunker of the 161st Battalion of CRPF. A CRPF jawan and a civilian were injured in this. A cordon and search operation has been started to nab the terrorists.
Earlier in the Kashmir division, there was a terrorist attack on a joint party of police and CRPF in Bijbihara area of Anantnag on Friday. A policeman was injured in this attack. As soon as the information about the attack was received, the security forces reached the spot and surrounded the area and launched a search operation.
Apart from this, a migrant laborer from Bihar was shot dead by terrorists in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police gave this information on Friday. He said the attack happened around midnight. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, "During midnight, terrorists fired at Mohammad Amrej, son Mohammad Jalil, a resident of Besadh in Madhepura, Bihar, at Sodnara Sambal, Bandipora, and injured him." Police said Amrej was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
