Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given strict instructions to the police officers. Shah said that such action should be taken in the matter so that such an incident does not happen again and set an example for the people. The Home Minister called Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana and said that whatever necessary steps are taken in the matter, they should be taken.
Delhi Police is identifying and arresting the accused on the basis of video footage in the Jahangirpuri violence case. On April 17, a video went viral on social media, in which 28-year-old Sonu was seen firing in a blue kurta. On the basis of the video, the police searched for the accused and arrested him. Sonu has confessed that on April 16, he opened fire near Kushal Chowk.
Tension prevailed in the area after the violence. Due to this, the Delhi Police along with the members of the Aman Committee took out a peace march in the Jahangirpuri area. The Police and Aman Committee appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.
At the same time, in the violence case, the police have also registered a case against the members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal. He is accused of taking out a procession without permission. The police have also arrested Prem Sharma, the district service chief of VHP.
