ITR Filing Date 2021 extended till March
In a recently issued circular, the Ministry of Finance said that the due date to file income tax returns for assessment year 2021-22 had been extended "on consideration of difficulties reported by taxpayers and stakeholders due to Covid and in electronic filing of various reports." Now the deadline has been extended to 15th March, 2022.

The taxpayers all across the country were seeking extension in the ITR deadline and the government took that into consideration. From tax associations to tax professionals and tax payers, a myriad of the population raised their concerns using various social media channels. A few days back, the website also seemed to have crashed and the taxpayers complained of website crash. Taking into account all these suggestions, this decision by the Finance Ministry beings a relief amongst the taxpayers.
