Ishan Kishan broke Chris Gayle's record, became the fastest batsman to score a double century

Ishan Kishan has scored a brilliant double century in the third and last ODI match against Bangladesh. This is the first double century of his career. He completed his double century in only 126 balls. In this innings he hit 23 fours and 9 sixes. He has reached number one in terms of scoring the fastest double century. He has broken the record of Chris Gayle. Gayle had earlier made this record against Zimbabwe.

Talking about Indian batsmen who have scored 200 runs in ODI cricket, Ishan Kishan has become the fourth batsman who has done this feat. Before Kishan, Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar have scored 200 runs in ODI cricket. Rohit Sharma has done this feat maximum 3 times. However, the credit for scoring 200 runs in ODIs for the first time goes to the great Sachin Tendulkar, who scored an unbeaten 200 against South Africa at Gwalior.

Ishan Kishan has become the 9th batsman to score 200 runs in ODI cricket. Earlier this feat was done by Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Fakhar Zaman and Sachin Tendulkar.
