Iran News : 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Iran: 5 killed, 19 injured

Earthquake tremors were felt in Iran on Saturday morning. It measured 6.3 on the Richter scale. During this 5 people lost their lives. More than 19 people are reported to be injured. Its tremors were also felt in the UAE including the Persian Gulf. So far no damage has been reported from UAE.

The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.3 magnitude. Two more earthquakes were recorded soon after. Its epicenter was reported near the port of Port City, which was 10 km deep from the ground.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was 100 kilometers from the port city of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province. The earthquake occurred at 1.30 pm local time. Five people died in Saih Khosho village, near the epicenter.

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake was felt in Iran's southern province on June 25. One person was killed and more than 30 people were injured due to this disaster. Iranian media had this information. Iran's state-run news agency Irna said the epicenter was 22 kilometers northeast of the island of Kish in Hormozgan province. Its center was 22 km below the surface.
